How to give a cat an injection (needle)
Attention!
If you've never given an injection before, ask your veterinarian to show you how.
1. Hold the cat down.
2. Pull the skin up on the back of the neck (scruff) to make a "tent".
3. Insert the needle parallel to the back bone, pull back on the plunger slightly to make sure you don’t draw blood. If you draw blood, reinsert the needle in a different spot. If there is no blood, then proceed with pushing down on the plunger to give the injection.
